Review:

It’s 1981. Bob Yannes (cofounder of synth company Ensoniq) criticizes computer sounds chips, calling them “primitive, obviously… designed by people who knew nothing about music”

It’s 1984. Bob Yannes brilliant SID Chip is developed. Pushed into the lives of middle class households is the commodore 64. Games like “Arkanoid”, “Comic Bakery”, “Gauntlet”, “Last Ninja”, “Sanxion”, and “Wizball” are played by millions.

Musicians Martin Galway, Rob Hubbard, David Whittaker and Ben Daglish are heard by masses. A defying sound is invented.

Its 2012. Robot Elephant Records releases an 18 track compilation, remastering the absolute gloriousness of it all.

Put on your spacesuits, grab the control and VROOOOM away onto the glamorous techno wave of ancient times. Ready, set, go!
